While studying full-time, and interning part-time for Cohen & Winters, Shannon also finds time to work with the New England Innocence Project. In addition, she is a teaching assistant for the law school’s legal research and writing program, a position only granted to students who have shown a mastery in this subject. Prior to law school, Shannon spent nearly four years working as a social worker in Portland, Maine where she served as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and trafficking, and youth living in residential treatment.
Starting with Cohen & Winters in June of 2021 as a part-time summer intern, Shannon immediately clicked with the team and provided invaluable support for family and criminal cases. After law school, she plans to remain in New Hampshire to practice law. The areas she hopes to focus on include criminal law, juvenile law, and estate planning.
Shannon lives in Manchester. In her free time, she loves hiking, reading, and spending time with her partner and her dog.
